Breakfast in Athens Capital Center Hotel - MGallery Collection
Restaurant/places to eat in Athens Capital Center Hotel - MGallery Collection
Property building in Athens Capital Center Hotel - MGallery Collection
This hotel is 4 years old and located next to the Britannia and the Parliament building (changing of the guards on the hour). During pleasant weather it is within walking distance of the major sites. We were in room 714 superior king room. The room was spacious. Zero view. The bathroom was done completely in granite. There was a rain shower head and wand. Lights in the room were confusing at first and make sure the porter shows you everything including how to adjust temperature. The room has a feature that detects when you leave the bed at night, it puts on a soft light in the room and bath. We signed up through Booling.com as that was the cheapest rate we could find. We added the breakfast option and then learned that half board (dinner included) could be added for 20 Euros each. It includes a starter, main course, and dessert. I could never finish all three. The menu is not as complete as the full menu but has enough choices for a 5 night stay and can be augmented from the main menu for variety (at a cost). The food was excellent and prepared in interesting ways. There is a manger at breakfast and two at evening meal. The Greeks eat late and 2030 was a good time to eat as the sun soon sets (17 JUL) and the temperatures were lovely. We normally ate poolside. After 2000 the pool deck is converted into a dining area. The view of the Acropolis is a plus. The breakfast was a generous buffet with plenty of staff. Service from reception, to restaurants, to housecleaning (turn down service) was excellent at every level. English is spoken by all, clearly and easily understood. I went to the front desk to report a problem with my TV. The repairmen beat me back to the room

Staff were all friendly, polite and professional, and prompt in responding to our inquiries. We had two rooms and room temperature, TV, water pressure all worked well and did blinds and room lighting features in providing desired light in room. Our son had the breakfast after a workout and said that it was the best that he's ever had. The "Athenian Blossom" scent that permeates the hotel's main areas is wonderful as are the "Olivia Thinks" hair shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion products in each of the rooms (we are considering ordering some online). Hotel is so perfectly located downtown, close to sites and shopping, but not too close to the people-busy areas. We will certainly be back the next time that we are in Athens.

Its an excellent hotel in the heart of the upmarket shopping district with loads of upscale restaurants. Its in close proximity of Syntagma Square, Ermou, Monastiraki, Plaka and for those looking for upscale shopping - Kolonaki and Attica. Beautiful roof top views of the Acropolis (which is close by) so you are right in the thick of it. The hotel facilities are lovely. I hired the suite which is very spacious and great street city views where one can watch the thousands of Athenians walk past the hotel, doing their business. Room service was great, breakfast was lovely, the roof top Restuarant is good quality with a decent wine selection and great views. Gym is also very decent .

I had an incredible stay at M Gallery Athens, and the hospitality was outstanding. We've stayed at the Athens Capital a number of times, and it is by far one of our favourite hotel. The staff are outstanding, the hotel modern and immaculate, and the food always a treat. I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine desire to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you especially Athina- head concierge, who managed our stay incredible. Also, she recommended us the best restaurants, hair saloon and organised our transfers!

Marina

I loved the attention to details and the fact that we felt so spoiled by the hotel staff! Every day we got a small treat in our room (small cakes, cheese platter) and on New Years' Eve we got a hole local cake and some artisanal candles as a gift. Also every request that we had was rapidly and pleasently answered. The hotel is perfectly located, just across the street from the Hellenic Parliament, 100 m away from the Attica department store and about 5 minutes away from Kolonaki area.
